Moog little phatty analog synthesizer being voltage-controlled by a Moogerfooger CP-251 voltage processor. This turns the already powerful LP into a semi-modular workhorse. Still less modulation power than a stock Voyager - but easily on par with a modded Odyssey or CS-15. I still need to add the Moogerfooger ring modulator.
The CP-251 is a collection of classic Moog Modular circuits that perform a number of CV functions such as : LFO (square & triangle), Sample & Hold, Noise, Attenuators (x2), 4-input mixer, 4-way multiple, squarewave trigger out & a Lag processor. It's a great value and yet many people (including LP owners) are confused by just what this thing is for. Here's a little taste.
Recorded direct into 1820m interface and post-processed w/ some Sonitus reverb.

  • hi, i suppose this can be used with any analog synth with CV outputs, right? i am starting on the analog world..

  • @mynmyself the only thing that can be a problem w/ CV is different voltages between manufacturers. Most follow the 1Volt/oct standard set by Moog, but others such as the 70's Korg and Yamaha synths use Hz/Volt. They'll still 'work' if you mix one with the other, but the oscillator tuning will be way off.

  • yummy sonics, totes foshe. thank you.

  • @RadioStarKilla u r welcome

  • Thanx for this man, quite UFOish... :-)

  • @yurzappa

  • You've got a great video here. Good to see folks exploring with the CP-251.

    Much Thanks,

    The Moog Team

  • I've got a custom lighted Stage I, a CP-251, a ring mod, and a phaser. I'm not sure yet when the LP comes back from the factory, though. When it does I'll post a video.
