What you're watching is a video of traditional Japanese trout (pronounced "ah-you") fishing by means of using cormorants, a species of sea birds found all over the world (this is known as Ukai in Japan). There are approximately nine cormorants attached to the boat, each one with its own harness preventing it from eating the fish. The fishermen come out at night while the fish are sleeping. They then wake them up by playing loud music and shining bright light from a fire. The fire on the end of each boat is meant to disorient the fish and allow the birds to see their prey. Towards the end of the ceremony, the boats converge toward the shore in an effort to trap all the fish and get a better harvest.

  • stupid people, will not even read the description, what do you think a discription is far?

  • Well. Some prefer dancing cats or underage girls, of course.

This is at least something I haven't seen before. What exactly did you expect when you chose to watch a video with that title?

  • I DIDNT THINK SO

  • Interesting.
