Very important for any of you doing AQA chemistry A2, 1/2Br2 going to Br is actually called the Bond dissociation enthalpy, and remember, it is given PER MOLE. Which James doesn't take into account in this video or doesn't tell us he does. Therefore you have to half the value. And also, direction of arrow on this course is very important. Endothermic processes point up and exothermic point down, therefore the electron affinity should be the other way round! Good luck guys!
