Maxwell & Mozart

Maxwell is a unique cat at Tabby's Place. He has had a difficult time to adjust to his new home here because he's very upset when he's around other cats. His aggression is controlled somewhat with medication, but he still cannot be placed in a regular suite.
As you can see in the video, he's a very happy and affectionate cat with his favorite Human Beans, but becomes upset when he's put in a cage or put with a cat or group of cats he doesn't know.

Since he's improved, we decided to help him overcome his fear by giving him a roomie. Cool-as-a-cucumber Mozart has been a perfect fit. There isn't much that upsets this guy! Having Mozart crated in the room has helped Max get used to having a friend, and even more recently we've started letting Mozart out (under supervision) for short periods of time. Max has improved greatly with his new friend.
Our goal is for Max to become comfortable enough with other cats so we can move him to a smaller room with only a few other cats.
He still has a long way to go before he can be an easily adoptable cat, but everyone at Tabby's Place is happy to help him along his journey.

maxwell is very human-orientated so he will benefit from meeting people. as for other felines, he will choose his own friend in his own time. i think he prefers humans though. LOL that's my experience anyway. they are both lovely cats and i think they will get on very well together. good luck, keep up the good work!
