  • Oh Mr Knightley, you have all right in the world to kiss her hand!

Upon seeing Mr Knightley's heartbroken expression, Churchill has now topped the list of abomiable regency characters...NO ONE must máke Mr Knightley heartbroken! No matter the reason!

  • @SleepingAngel2 i was looking for a good explanation for that scene cos i didnt really get it. yours seems quite right :) thank you!

  • i love her face when he goes to kiss her hand! like "wtf?"

  • @DarklitPath I know what you mean. The first movie that I saw him in, he plays his characters with such subtlety that it just kind of draws you in. I cannot imagine Emma without these characters playing him. In fact, I cannot really watch the older versions any longer :D

  • @SleepingAngel2 It's written in the book this way...... definately more powerful. :)

  • The door, Mr Knightley! Please! :)

  • I love how he chooses not to kiss her hand. In the 1996 adaption Mr. Knightley does kiss Emma's hand, but this is just so much stronger. It's like he cannot help himself, like he just wants to touch her so badly. But at the last minute he changes his mind as if he remembers that he was going to try to be indifferent and therefore might as well start now.

  • I melt everytime I watch this scene...
