This is a photo essay of two churches in Topeka, KS. St. Joe which is no longer a church. Grace Episcopal Cathedral and the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas wish to remove the protection of preservation from the State of Kansas as a historical site of Bethany Place. And to create a parking lot and add buildings to the site. The site is Bethnay Place, it is the first womans college in Kansas. Attended by Georgia Neese Gray. This video is a education of a past "use of property" and what a current lesson of misuse could lead to problems in the future.

  • If you "don't get it". This is about a church (St. Joe) that was "born" after Grace. And it does not exist as a church anymore. What is left is the church and most of the buildings and parking lots that it created.

There is much history about the site.

There is a group trying to preserve Historic Bethany Place. There is a web site to petition to save it that you can search using "Preserve Historic Bethany Place, Topeka, KS petition".
