Patrick Shields and Sam Dodson speak to the city council about property taxes, threats of violence, and voluntary interactions. Some councilors were happy, or at least acted it, to see more public input at meetings. One even encouraged us to attend committee meetings.

  • Had Patrick never been to a meeting before? It is polite to stay in the seat, thank the committee, and then wait a short amount of time to see if there are questions.

  • He'd been to one. And that one I don't think had a "public comment" section. So give him a break and he'll do better next time I'm sure.

  • No Edanmilner, democracy is tyranny of the majority. it's a horrible system that's in many ways worse than a monarchy.

Your view of the world is as black and white as goverrnent's. If you want to hire people to tell you what to do, I think you should be free to do that.

  • Great! Me too.

  • Although one of them liked the first guy, apparently. "Are you single?"

  • In this instance, accusing your audience actually hurt your cause. A typical council member left listening to the young, unknown, leather-jacketed punk when he accuses the council of being "smiling faces representative of a tyrannical government" will at that point close his/her ears to subsequent discussion, preoccupied with either amusement or (more likely) extreme offense. If you seek change, cater to your audience (your words, not your ideas).

  • i wholeheartedly agree. but that question was directed towards edinmilner.

  • Government is nothing more than a Gang of Thugs. There is no role for such a thing. Simple as that.

  • Great stuff guys. I'm thinking about moving to Keene (instead of Manchester) again...

  • This guy is a very hateful person. Yes, you cannot argue with a thick headed fool. I will just ignore him.

These particular FSP people are just introducing the attending bureaucrats and politicians to the harsh reality they've helped sew together and ignore at the same time., that's it. This would never be a method to muster support from the public by attacking individual citizens.

Can you tell me your ideology and what you think the role of our government is and should be?

  • that was the context of the comments directed towards you, not me.

what kind of request is this? do you think i keep a list? and what makes yout hink that i cannot just type up random initials and names? what in the world would this prove? take my word for it. if you can't trust what i say, what is the point of me telling you what i have done? it is moot with your way of thinking.

    reasoning > bitching

"career criminal" prove this, please. not by linking to your unfounded and hysterical rant.

  • "do as i and a mob decree or die."

okay? and your point? the objective is is to CHANGE HIS MIND. you've made no point there.

"false dilemma fallacy, lying at the heart of your blindness."

    i am very sincere

"let me know how that works out with edanmilner."

sure, if you hadn't scared him away with a resulting hardened angst towards the liberty minded

and what is with this contempt towards paul?

he gives a portion of his salary back to congress and he votes against pay raises. its baseless
