Excellent

@mysss29 yeah.. but in all honesty you can get a knife shaving sharp on almost any grit with compound. even 400 grit will give you quite a reasonably clean hair shaving edge after stropping. the higher polished grits may make the edge a bit more durable.

Hey, what was the second sandpaper you used? (between the 220 and the strop) I'm curious what the highest grit I really need is. (Currently all I have is a medium Arkansas and some leather, haha!)

Excellent, thanks!

I don't know much about burr sticks. Do you buy them or find them?

@toliverfive its just an expression.. any piece of wood or plastic will work. you are just running the edge over something like wood that will help strip any wire off the edge that is clinging to leave the true edge behind.

Awesome, now I know how to try sharpening (and convexing!!) once I get some sandpaper!

@mysss29 no worries. I am infact uploading a new convexing a folding knife video now.. its very lengthy, and talking a bit more on what you are trying to acheive. I also have in my convex play list a very detailed video demonstrating with CAD what you want to acheive. the new video highlights some of these points.. Have a look in an hour or so.

what is a burr stick?

@utuubee any stick, plastic, etc thats softer than steel that you use to run the edge through and peel off any burr on the edge. hardwood is good.
