one of THE BEST concerts I ever went to was Sky.
-
The BBC used some of their tracks on the series 'Great Railway Journeys Of The World' back in 1980's.

I would like to thank you for putting this on the tube, I have 5 of their vinyls with a double L.P.( Long player 33rpm) but you can't play them now, they don't fit into the C.D. player on the computor. Just shows how old I am, that I still have these plastic discs. However thanks to you, I can get on the tube and listen to this great instromentilist. its hard to relax after 7900 eartquakes in 14 months, but mate you have cracked it. Thanks again Dave

@Urkmigraft Some people would say a live performance sounding virtually identical to the record is a bad thing. "You might as well stay at home and listen to the record!" as they might say. I never took SKY to be a band who were too big on improvisation, though. I Suppose they preferred the classical approach of bringing a composition to life each time as it was written.

the key to a really well-sorted band is the quality of their live performance. You can't really tell this apart from the album track.

Intellectual musicians. Even in Soviet union SKY vinyl was realised. That was a discovery ! ......

Great upload. Must look out my collection of Sky vinyls, I think I have them all.
The good old days. When only the music mattered. No poses, no dressing up.

I was rumaging around through my local salvation army store the other week and i came across a brightly coloured vinyl with a larg SKY logo on it.
I love prog music, and for some reason this cover just screamed prog, so i took it home and my ears were greeted with an awesome sound assault.
THEN to my amazment, i went back the next day and found sky 2, 3 and 4 all in the same box!
What a find!
