I was shocked at my reaction of this video of Stuart, he is one of the most beautiful young men I have ever seen..and to die at 21? is so dam unfair.R.I.P Stuart and at least you have two of The Beatles with you.God Bless! xxx

Stu was the one who came up with the name Beatles. John thought he meant Beetles, and said hell no! When Stu explained to John he meant B-E-A-T-L-E-S- and why (the beat, get it?) then John loved it. For some reason, they decided on The Silver Beatles, then dropped the Silver after Brian Epstein got involved by his suggestion. Brian actually "made" The Beatles what they were, and had become during his life until he died.

@HoldOnToYourDream after hearing that interview on NPR lasst night of Astrid or whatever her name was who was Stuart's boyfrined and is famous for taking a lot of early beatles photos........she says John wanted him in the band for the way he looked and also because he was an artist. I think John knew they needed some visual appeal. I have a theory though.....if everyone looked like an abercrombie and finch catalog maybe there would BE NO BEATLES !!! Stuart Sutcliffe was undeniably the most incredibly handsome Beatle there ever was! Even though he didn't last long in the band, he is my very favourite Beatle. I've always liked Ringo Starr as well even though he has always been rather funny looking. John Lennon on the other hand was very homely. Pete Best looked okay and so did Paul McCartney and George Harrison but when it came down to attractiveness, Stuart Sutcliffe blew them all away!
