I was thinking of buying a ukulele for my boyfriend for Xmas. I have not had any luck in finding out what kind of uke Stephin Merritt plays, would you happen to know?

actually it's a cool story- my mom back in the late 40's took her first paycheck from her first job and bought this uke- it's a Martin and worth a pretty penny although i'll never sell it- being a family heirloom and all- i have a beater uke that i travel with and let my 3 yr old play-it's a Makai and about $60- don't know what Stephin plays- good luck
