Incorrect, until the ref dont stop the fight u should stop pressing. Why? if the ref dont see the tap and and the other guy plays the stupid and tries to keeps fighting after he already tapped the fight continues.
A lot of times the fighter taps no matter if the ref stops the fight or not and he want to continue then.
EXAMPLE: Chael Sonnen against Anderson Silva

Ok, maybe Renzo was pissed because the other guy punched his fighter after the match. Even if Renzo's fighter didn't release the choke, it was understandable. But this is not the first time Renzo does shit like this. Spitting a rival in the face, stepping on an unconscious fighter, choking out his daughter's boyfriend...
Disrespect people on the internet is very easy, but c'mon, noone could blame you for saying that Renzo is a complete piece of shit.

I noticed in UFC and other MMA it seems the fighter won't let go until the ref pulls their arm away. I guess they want to ensure totally and completely the fight is over. Personally I agree with ya, when a guy taps, that's it man, no need in holding the choke any longer than necessary.
