good job i tried cooking this with the curry powder my friend game called Niru Jaffna but it didn't quite taste the way he makes it, maybe cause i kept out the coconut milk? I didn't put it in because i was trying to keep as much fat out as possible so my dad can eat it also. I also found that when they were cooking it the smell was so much more stronger and better while they only just frying up the onions and stuff but wasn't the case for me.

If you leave out the coconut milk and chop the chillies then the curry is something you will find all over North India and across the world.

@giyantube Not really. The Sri Lankan roasted curry powder that is used in this dish is very unique--unlike any curry powder you get in India. Plus the addition of whole spices like cinnamon sticks and of course curry leaves makes it wholly Sri Lankan.
