Oh man I remember this day, this is like 2 miles away from my house. I remember I had a job interview that morning and there was a river just like this going over Allgood road, so I couldn't make it

@ssalmon35 like Dragon said, it rarely ever floods here. All of this flooding was caused by a week of non stop raining. I believe it was 22 inches for the hole week, 10 of which were on the last day when the large flooding truely started. Don't know if this is important anymore, as its 6 months after you asked, but I thought I would try to help :)

Is there a more rural area around Marietta? Looks like a big city. I am from a small town in Michigan thinking of relocating to Georgia for job in Atlanta.

holy guacamole. this is crazy. i just live on the other side of shaw, across piedmont. ive never seen any flooding like this back in Marietta....
