A transition from a dependence on fossil fuels also means less dependence on the Government because we'll need no middleman between us and what it takes to live and be productive. To me they're looking to get control of the transition so that when it takes place they'll be able to continue being in control and extracting a fee. A minority of scientists in the 70s thought the earth was going to cool because of an increase in SO2. By the 1980s new temperature data created a consensus that man-emitted CO2 was causing the earth to warm.

Climategate is a scandal manufactured by the media. Subsequent investigations have found that the scientists were quoted out of context ("statistical trick" doesn't mean "deceptive manipulation," it means "a statistical method for showing relationships between data.)"

the 2000s has been the warmest decade EVER. 1998 was the warmest year ever and that was because El Nino re-inforced the warming. We've been in an a La Nina period. We're now coming out of La Nina and 2010 is likely to beat 1998.

It has to do with the activity of sun spots and the carbon increasing and decreasing does not follow the rise or decrease in the World's temperatures... This is basic Science...
