@rhyungshik I have an accent too, most CBC/ABC do and so does Linda. It's just not as noticeable unless you listen carefully. I suspect that when she first started speaking, it was in Cantonese, similarly to me. She probably has a stronger accent now because she speaks Cantonese on a daily basis. Still, to most HK people it sounds perfect.

@xbeta84 Not exactly; I lived in Vancouver and some girls that grew up in Canada still carries an accent.

@laaybaybee Not everyone in Canada can speak French. Compare it to Mainland Chinese citizens speaking English. Well, that's my experience. Many of them drop french whenever they can.

The first time she responded in english, she sounded like a white girl. But the second time, it's obvious she's asian. I live in SF, so i know just by hearing when an asian, no matter how fluent their english is, speaks english. The only exception is when a second or third generation asian speaks english, because they don't have any asian accent all.
