Armadillo, Live in Oklahoma

For those who think armadillos are only roadkill, here's one foraging in dry grass alongside a backroad in western Oklahoma. Unusual to see one in daylight in early February, but it was a warm day and the little feller must have been hungry. Check out the long tail, and the bustling, lively activity of a heavily armored animal. Who'd a thought?
