My friend Diego and I just received our new GoPro HD Helmet Hero cameras last week, so we took them up to Mt. High for a few test-runs. Although we shot all kinds of footage at 720p (30 & 60fps), 960p, and 1080p, this video contains 720p footage only. No post editing / visual enhancements were applied to this video.

Video details:
1280x720 resolution, 30fps, 8MB/sec constant bitrate.

Hopefully the quality doesn't diminish too drastically due to YouTube's proprietary video compression.

  • How the eff did you get this many views?????

  • @hhougen It was one of the first GoPro HD videos on YouTube. My friend and I pre-ordered our GoPro's the day after they were available to the public, so we were among the first batch to receive them. We uploaded this video along with one of our GoPro Skydiving (that one also has a lot of views). Plus I kept the videos straight to point: test footage, no visual enhancements or color correcting... practically raw footage which is what most people look for when researching a new product :)

  • its funny whe people suck and they buy a go pro because there parents buy them anything

  • @SuperOmeglepranks Umm sure? I don't see what that has to do with this video since I buy all my own gear using the money I earn with my full-time job at one of the world's most respectable companies in digital technology... but no matter how irrelevant your comment is, you're entitled to your contemptuous opinion.

  • Did you use the anti fog inputs?

  • @HensPie I was not aware it came with "anti-fog inputs" haha. I got my GoPro on day 1 of release last year... it's possible that the newer shipments come with anti-fog equipment (maybe customers complained?). So to answer your question, no I did not use any anti-fog equipment :)
