nice post, The Silmarillion is one of the best myth story on par with greek and other famous mythology

@GixxxerKim The Silmarillion begins with the making of the world into which Middle Earth is later set. Both the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings come long after. It would make most sense to read The Hobbit after the Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings last of all. I would regard The Hobbit as optional.
As incredible as The Lord of the Rings is, I think The Silmarillion is an even greater `saga.`

Is the Silmarillion the first of Tolkeins novels? Or just what SHOULD be read first kind of like a prequel? Are there any more that need to be read before Hobbit and Lord?
