I'm from south Georgia...and when you mention haulin' pulpwood...people just laugh, like it died in the 60's or something.
Been a long time since I've seen a pulpwood truck on the highway though.

I think I'll stick with hauling tree length logs here in Arkansas, but your video did bring back nice memories,I have to bragg on your shortwood trucks they looked really nice and the loghog skid tractor was one of the best things invented for shortwood,I wish you the best.

An honest living. I have been there. Now work for honda manufacturing in Lincoln Alabama. When I retire I still hope to be able to sell firewood. Thanks for the video. Satisfaction in life is worth more than money!

A lot of people just doesn't understand how much work is in hauling wood! But it made me the man that I am today and I miss every day of it! It may have been hard, but I loved it!

It has almost come to an end here in Mississippi. I got out before it got too bad, I was the last one in my family to haul pulpwood, I still have a couple of Loggers in the family and everyone else dose tree work. I grind stumps and the firewood thing. I'm thinking of getting a grapple truck, so that I can haul brush and logs, and recover wood for my firewood business. Got to think of more than one thing to bring in money, with this economy the way it is!

Is that a Log Hog at 0:29? My grandpa invented that in the 60's. He later sold out to Dunham after he got it patented. Nice video
