I got my shifter kart a couple of months ago, but either the weather was too bad, or i couldn´t find the time. Two weeks ago, i finally got the chance. I made a cameramount for it, and this is a clip of the first time i ever drove a shifter.
As you could see, not everything goes well first time you try it - I almost made a complete warm up lap :D

The kart i a 2007 Zanardi kz1 (CRG road rebel) with a TM K9b (class KZ2 - 125cc)
The camera is a panasoni SDR-S10 flash card camcorder on a home made mount, with room for improvement! :)

  • wheres the clutch on it?

  • @arctyler hand operated - left side of the steering wheel.

  • Hey nice kart. What chassi is it? and who is the manufacture for the engine?

My wheel came of on a qualifying session, I almost beat up my mechanic ( dad ) and learned that you ( the driver) should ALLWAYS check the kart before starting :D I went on the track once and my dad forgot to thigten the brake fluid lines at the rear caliper because the ventilation nipples had broken so.. I noticed quite fast that i just had no brakes. It was in the Yamaha class. Don´t know if it exist outside Sweden

  • Hey and thanks for the comment.

Your questions are all answered in the discription - just press (more info).

Fun that it happened to you too :)

It has happenen to me twice now - last time i lost my rear whell on another kart.

Sometimes we just can´t wait to get on the track, right?

    - I guess that´s why things like this happen.

The Yamaha class is alive and well in Denmark too.

    Kepp racing!

  • awesome

i never drove a gear shifter

i used to drive in a club for 7 years

    i had a yamaha 100cc and a rotax 125cc

i always was afraid to hit the gear box with my knee...

i have to try one of these

    your officially subscribed*g*

ps: do you wrote horrorble for fun or was it just a typo?

    (horrible)

    pps: do you speak german?

  • Thanks for your comment :)

I did hit the gear stick wiyh my knee, but i just need a new seat, and build it in properly.

The "typo" was on purpose, as it sounded soooo bad, that it was a true horrer - lol. Horrorble is actually a word, but normal use of the word, would ofcourse be horrible.

Und ja, ich spreche ein bischen Deutsch :)
