  • YES IT'S noisy, never heard an air compressor that sounds like that though!!!,sounds like a motor and reduction gearbox,oh wow thats what it is!!!

  • Hi again the video makes it sound louder than it is,to get the torque to keep the turntable spinning while under vacuum I used a 400:1 reduction gearbox fitted to a basic dc motor, noisy but it keeps turning,I could not find a Direct drive motor that could do the job!!.

  • Yes they did'nt scratch but I have changed to using a much softer brush, not easy to find somthing suitable!!,I have also added a reversing switch aswell,Thanks

  • Must be a very sick car engine!!! yes it is noisy!!

  • fuck that is a really DYI stuff! good

  • sounds like you got a chevy in the cabinate

  • Sounds more like an air compressor

  • Never thought I'd hear something louder than my VPI 16.5 vacuum motor. But that TT motor is LOUD.

Either way kudos for making your own machine. Much respect to anyone who loves vinyl that much...and I do, I just went the easier route ;)

  • That's fantastic!.

  • those brushes looks hard . likely to scratch the surface more
