Part 6 of the MMX6 minimalist speed run.

This is a speed run through X6, in its entirety, under the following restrictions: no armors, items, or weapons, no Z Sabre (except where absolutely necessary), no damage, on Xtreme difficulty, using X. No parts are equipped save one unavoidable exception which will be detailed when it transpires.

This would send so many chills through SDA's spine, lol... let's see, how much of this is bluntly arbitrary... no damage at the serious expense of speed, no weapon use, no saber which slices apart certain levels... okay not that much, but the first two are such an extreme deviation from an optimal low% run of this thing it'd never be accepted. This probably breaks about half their rules, especially seeing as I break my own rules enough times out of necessity anyway.

One day I might try a low%.

Once again, very impressive. However, am I mistaken, or did you spend nearly this whole level ranting about how cheap this game is and praising the design of the level beforehand? While I agree rather heartily, if not entirely so, I find it in bad taste to talk about the previous segment in a LP. It feels like speaking longingly of a past lover to your current partner. Nonetheless, I remain impressed with your skill and determination.

Huh? I was talking about the entire game in general. Not the last segment. Anyway, I'm not gonna defend myself too much since you're probably more than right. I'm not very good at the whole 'commentary' thing, I just try to dictate my thoughts through a segment at the time of reviewing it. >_>

It was honestly a mistake to try to sell this like an LP in the first place, there's not enough discipline in the commentary for that... it's just my thoughts on each level and what I consider important.

I'll tell you something I think I'll work up after the next update is uploaded are some detailed comments to more accurately represent the level that I can stick in the video descriptions. Although I'll still try to be more concise and on point in the commentary for the next three.

Seems like your X6 videos are coming in much faster than the X4 or X5 ones did.

I went through a bad bout for a couple of weeks during X5. It's nothing you want the details about, but recording my voice was certainly out of the question. X4... well, that was just laziness. >_>

I wouldn't expect much wait in between X6 videos. Probably two or three days between every 3, so they'll all be up relatively quickly. No point in waiting.

This is my least favorite level in the game, lol. Yes, I agree that parts of it are awesome and it is creative (I really like the crusher part in the 2nd final stage). Still, the amount of waiting time, along with the fact that if you are attacked by one of those nightmare guys (I forget the name) while ducked, it can instantly kill you. You end up relying on luck to not get 1 shotted.

I knew you couldn't be crushed while you're in the ride armor, but I didn't know that you could just leave It where you do and be fine until I saw this video. It really helped a lot on repeated play-throughs of this level.

My mistake, I thought you were talking about Blizzard Wolfang's stage when you were saying 'This is my favorite stage' and 'This is how the developers should have made the rest of this game'. And don't get me wrong, my words are nothing to defend yourself from. I have nothing but the highest praise for these videos, but do try to stay a bit more on topic in the coming videos.
