  • or transition to juiji gatame

  • Yes, juji gatame would be another good transition. Next month's video will be showing some other transitions from this position. What are some other techniques you would like to see?

  • @BootyBot I meant that you pretty much knew this a lot better than me, so my comment didn't bring any new information to you :)

  • @narnia5k I don't understand

  • @BootyBot Hmm, think my reply was pretty much useless to you :P But, thank you =)

  • @narnia5k the only main difference is the fact that most judo gyms have evolved to fit the Olympic variation of judo which involves very little ground game. Nearly every submission in bjj is in judo. Gogoplata? that's the Kagato-Jime in judo. And the list goes on.

The only real difference is the fact that bjj focuses more on newaza, which is ground game. Although if you go to a more traditional judo gym, you can find one that focuses on newaza just as much.

  • @BootyBot Or maybe they do both, but doesn't matter my point is that the two martial arts should not be judged as the same =P

  • @BootyBot bjj is developed from judo, so it's a bit different. These guys are practicing judo, but I'm pretty sure this counts for bjj aswell..

  • @BootyBot But not exactly the same thing.

  • Love that Newaza, thanks for posting
