Steve Gill on This Week with Bob Mueller, 12/20/09

On This Week with Bob Mueller... The panel of experts includes syndicated conservative talk show host Steve Gill and WSTS radio talk show host Carl Boyd Jr. We're discussing the on going health care reform debate and whether Senate Democrats can come together to get a bill approved. Sixty votes are needed and Democrats are having a tough time getting them.

We also discuss the Governor calling a special legislative session for next month on education. The idea is to change Tennessee rules and regulations so as to be eligible for about $400 million in federal money. Some of the changes involve teacher evaluations which the teachers union opposes.

Also discussed the retirement of 2 Democratic Tennessee Congressmen, Bart Gordon and John Tanner and how those districts are changing and it will be tough for Democrats to hold on to the seats.
