JAS 39 using fuel "JET A-1", a fuel for general aviation aircraft.JAS 39 is a multi-role fighter jet. She is even against the surface ships. I am extremely pleased that the Swedish forces does not help those self-seeking attack Libya.

Just because weapon A has track record of victory doesn't necessarily mean it's better for everyone than weapon B that lacks the track record. British brown bass musket had many track record of victory, whereas American Kentucky rifle had few, but during the Revolutionary War, Kentucky rifle turned out to be far superior than Brown Bass due to unique topography of the conflict.

@JudasIkarious Mate, The fuel issuse was that the USA had a different Fuel mix. And if you mean air to ground weapon. The swedish mission was not to attack grounded forces in Libya like other nations mission was. Sweden had to have the skys clear from enemy airplanes and also scouting.

lol....I'm very glad Norway did not buy Gripen. We all saw how it did in the Libya war. First they couldn't find fuel for it, then they didn't have air to grown weapon. hahaha. JAS is a joke just like rest of Sweden!
