  • I do this before and after practices and after a morning skate if there is a game at night. I recommend to warm up your muscles and joints before doing these stretches.

    - Before a practice / games hold a stretch 6-10 seconds.

    - After a practice / game hold a strecth 15 -60 seconds.

If you do this every day for two weeks, most likely you will be able to do splits (warm up and hold a strech for 30 seconds steady at maximum position).

Let me know how it goes,

Question: Why some these stretches hurt joints?

Answer: If you are stiff some stretches will cause pain in joints. Also, if you are not used to stretching joints will become sore, even if stretching is done properly, but it goes away with time.

  • I notice my hips arent as flexible as i need them too be. My Hamstrings are good, except for that 'cord-like' muscle on the inside of my leg, that seems tight. My groin, seems reliable, needs work though. What i dont get is how you can "comfortably" do that one flex at 4:20.. Its the death of me i swear.

  • @HockeyGoalieTrainer wait u do all 600 minutes of streching before a game and after ?

  • Is that how long I should hold each stretch? And am I supposed to change to the next stretch that quickly?

  • Thanks so much I was having trouble in the flexibility category of goaltending and I after I did these I am pretty flexible now. It really helps since I play rep hockey

  • hey im getting goalie pads and decided to go butterfly how often should i do these strechs

  • could you make like written instruction book as well for this?

  • ??????? god???

  • @HockeyGoalieTrainer Great! I have definitely seen improvements within my personal flexibility range.

What kind of warm ups do you recomend i do before i do these stretches?

    - I stretch for 5-10 minutes before games/ practices. (These stretches)

    - I stretch for maybe 5 minutes after games/practices (Should i stretch after on the ice? or off the ice? [with my gear off.])

My main question is; is stretching after more important then before? Thx

    Brandon
