After an 8.1 earthquake was recorded on the northeast coast of Hokkaido, a tsunami warning was issued for the island and the upper part of Honshu. This was my first tsunami warning in Japan (or anywhere), so it was cool but just a tad scary, since I'm in Hokkaido but live in the "yellow warning" area as opposed to the more severe "red" area. It was also weird to see squid boats coming back so early at night.

@Autumnhammy What about if the western part of La Palma island in the Canaries suddenly slides into the Atlantic?

Did the tsunami ever hit? If it did, your goose would be cooked.
