People have been asking me if this video is set up. I promise it isn't. I was at the theater helping with the release of the movie all weekend, mostly managing the guest list. Many people came out of the movie emotional, but none as emotional as this lady. She started talking to me in a very real way, with tears in her eyes, essentially apologizing to me for her previous position on the subject and letting me know she was a Fox/O'Reilly watcher who just had her mind changed by the movie. It occurred to me that that was a pretty powerful moment, and one you don't see every day, so i asked her if she would mind telling me that on video. She said she wouldn't, so I pulled out my camera, and what you see here happened.

I'm a supporter of the project, and the subject, but I would not call myself a climate change activist... however I do know a powerful moment when I see one, and this was that. There's no editing here, and this woman is not an actress. I would swear to it on the Bible, the constitution, or anything else you put in front of me.

If all it took was a single movie to get that reaction I doubt she's learned critical thinking. She's just someone who's very impressionable, which is why she listened to O'Riley in the first place. I doubt this change of heart will last.

The best part is that she doesn't suddenly say she hates Bill O'Reilly. In fact, she says she is still proud to watch him.  I can't stand the guy, but, somehow, I really like seeing how she can fundamentally change her viewpoint without needing to hate.

I can't remember the name of the scientist of an article I once read but he stated that global warming will melt the glaciers which in turn will dilute the oceans "and yes raise ocean levels", interfering or stopping oceans convection currents which will lead to an ice age!

So then what? we go from warming to ice age !! it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

All you need to do is look outside to notice the climate has changed. Yeah, yeah, I know the earth goes through these cycles. But has the earth ever gone through this cycle the same time billions of automobiles, factories, and cattle (cow farts=methane) are spewing poisonous gasses into the atmosphere ? We live in an envelope of breathable oxygen. Here's how to simulate the effect. Try going into your garage, close all the doors, and start your car. Good luck.

You are falling into the same trap as many others do when it comes to evaluating statistical information. Scientists do not look at 2 or 3 years of data to determine if a trend exists. Sea level rise has been measured since 1993 and the trend is an unmistakable 3.1 mm/yr rise over the 20 year period. That is the mean. There is a lot of noise along the graph and you could in theory pull out 2010-2011 data points and then conclude that the seas are retreating but you are missing the big picture.

No I have confidence in NASA. Go to their web page here: "climate.nasa.gov/key_indicato­rs#seaLevel" and you'll see sea levels are at record highs again.

Interesting that when sea levels dropped you were happy to believe NASA, but now sea levels are up again you'll have to go back to thinking they're part of the big conspiracy.

Of course the sensible explanation is that the temporary halt in sea level rise was due to flooding, just like in 1995, 1998, 2003 & 2007.
