US General 13 drawer tool box review after 5 years harbor freight

*I was a MC tech, laid off now. Back in school for diesel so this box will surely need to be upgraded.*
Here is a review of how my my HF tool box ive had for a few years has held up. I needed a larger box and didnt have the coin to spend on the matco box I wanted so I got this on sale for 300$. Most of my tools are Snap On, Mac, Matco, Silver Eagle, Craftsman, SK and HF.

Couple issues:
1. The drawer handle trims slide off.
2. The detents for the most used drawers wore out and drawers will creep open.
3. The lock feels cheap, but it works fine.

I dont like harbor freights tools, they are cheap garbage, but this box for $300 did its job.

For 300 dollars you could buy 1 drawer to a snap on box!! :D Good video.. Still wouldnt buy one though.. never had good luck with HF

Nice looks like that's a great deal. I went with the Costco CSPS box and liked it a lot It had a few flaws but still great. I just ended up getting a Massive snap-on box for super cheap (for a snap-on) I love that the Tools inside are Huge money and the box was 300

nice tool box for the price! you can't go wrong, hey I started off with a Mac box. I bought it preowned and it still cost me 1100 bucks! then 10 years later I upgraded to a Snap On box, let me tell you I got it on a great deal, but if I would of paid full price, its crazy cause just the top part would of been 3 grand! I feel you did well! its crazy what they want for new box, those US Generals are priced great compared to others by far! aslong as it locks and has good space, that matters most.
