He's not dead, he plays for the World Team Tennis league in July every year. He had a bunch of injuries since 2005 that kept him from being healthy enough to play on the ATP Tour. He's 33, probably not coming back. His real friends and family know his name isnt 'jan' and the rumor that he took his boyfriend on tour is a flat out lie. He has a lot of friends and family, but there was never a boyfriend, that's why no one can describe him or name him.

Why are people even on here saying that Jan is not gay? Why are you so shocked? I'm from Washington and everyone knows Jan is gay and yes, he would travel with his boyfriend on tour for fuck sake. There is nothin wrong with that. He was an awesome player, although I always thought it was funny how much his play resembled Seles, and he modeled a lot of his plays after her. Unfortunetely I think it really limited his mobiiity and side to side movement because his reach was gone.
