This is the Gears of War trailer with the soundtrack replaced by "Ballad of the Green Beret" by Sgt. Barry Sadler. The sparse nature of the song combined with the images of song and video is pretty creepy. This is a minor edit from the other version I have posted (one second longer).

  • Great game and great song, i don't know how good they go together but hey whatever floats ur boat. 4/5 for me. Good work

P.S Green berets are much better then the soldiers in gears. lol

  • One man's direspect is another man's form of respect. Stop and think instead of flip out and use all shift. Tribute it may be, it is also music for us to enjoy and if a person enjoys making an AMV or montage, which could even be its own form of tribute, he is only doing what comes natural.

  • i always thought gears were like the Marines

  • your welcome, lol.

  • oh i see nice thanks for telling me I appreciate it.

  • I see it as a compliment. I still get a lump in my throat when I hear that song.

    5th Legion Forever

  • Its a great game and a great song, but i agree with mikeatheman, they dont go together.

  • Devil's Brigade was a joint World War II American-Canadian commando unit, about 40% U.S., and 60% Canadian. They decided to use Canadians because we are use to the cold. They were America's and Canada's first special forces. Their the ancestry of todays Green Berets, and JTF2. A german officer wrote in his journal, about how these men were every where, these "Black Devils" with their painted faces. The name stuck.

  • the begining of the green beret know as the "devils brigade" i belive was during WW2. It was a group of WW2 rangers from what Iv found out by reading up on it

  • I agree with you
