Water No Get Enemy

The backing track is by Fela and is called Water No Get Enemy. If you believe in evolution water is where we come from, and is home to a wide range of different creatures including the swan, additionally water is meant to be calming hence it is a friend not an enemy. Swans spend their adult lives in pairs, this particular swan leaves on my marina with its mate, who obviously wasn't there. The film is an exploration of solitary life. The things that pass us by, i.e. the other birds. Our memories, red tint (if you look at old pictures they have a redy / yellowy tinge to them). The different effects reflect our different attitudes to how we feel throughout our life, things are seen in sharper focus, or we have a distorted picture of them etc. The end of the film has an aged effect, which obviously symbolises ageing and death.
