Yeah of Hell is still, even today, one of my best Voyager episodes.

Just out of curiosity, when Tom Paris said that a photon grenade can penetrate the hull, why didn't a photon torpedo???

@goldenthoth What's wrong with that is that all problems are solved, not by actually struggling to solve anything, but by using made-up words. There's rarely a sense that much is at stake, unlike great shows like DS9 where you feel the weight of the challenges they face.

Year of Hell is an example of what Voyager should have been, a series where a lost crew isolated from help and support fights to survive in hostile territory while trying to stay off each other's throats. Instead we get a godlike ship that can solve any problem through over 9,000 uses of the word "quantum."

During that first ad, I wonder how much of Jeri and Kate died from the awful dialogue.
