This song sounds so very beautiful in the beginning. " I can taste your lipstick in the wine" ,etc.; and the music is divine Too bad it ends with such odd statements like "when love is gone" and "Love thy neighbor as thyself". "and thou shalt not steal" , "thinking of you...now your'e gone"..."makes it hard to use as a love song. Wish John Prine could rewrite some of it! (And maybe sing it with Carrie Rodriguez). She is so sweet, especially with Lee Clayton in Wild Thing...
Beautiful

He writes some great songs. Marianne covers a few of them very well

It is John Prine and Marianne Faithfull, from Prine's album Lost Dogs and Mixed Blessings. It was the first dance at our wedding.

This is John Prine singing with Marianne Faithfull, not lee Clayton.

Nice song, thank you. In my ears it sounds like John Prine. I´m a big fan of both Lee Clayton and John Prine so I can hear the difference.

Fantastic song thank you. Is this on CD anywhere? I have long been a fan of Lee Clayton
