She is a good poet but the concept is faulty. There is no way that the God could come down to do anything for anyone of us - he has created Shaier Allah who serve this function on His behalf. As such there is no harm in asking through them as they are the one that Allah has said we should follow - the request is still from Allah. One would have to be careful that the person you are using as a wasila is worthy of the respect.
