This mus've been "version 1.0", because the stuff I shoot with mine has FAR MORE DEPTH than this, by a mile.
It was redesigned with cross-eye sensors to enhance depth. If you want to record something in 2D straight on, the camera is held at a very slight angle, right side about 1/16" closer than the left, indicating cross-eye sensors. While it does not produce perfect 3D, it comes fairly close to NATURAL 3D.
Looks better if you press the swap right-left button on the 3d section

Might want to add "yt3d:swap=true" to your tags. REquired to make Bloggie3D videos work right.

I think the colors are backwards. It works when you switch the colors in your glasses.
