  • I went there in 2003 and was hoping to go again this year...does this place still exist?

  • I am so thankful and touched to have found this video. This was my grandfather, and I spent every summer with him at this sanctuary. It was a horrible day when we received word the sanctuary had closed. Thanks again for the post. If anyone would like to help and anyway, OASIS is an organization that has stemmed from the many lives of people and bird alike, that The Pelican Man has touched. Please look them up and learn about that wonderful organization. God Bless! Jonathan Shields

  • Im so thankful for whoever posted this... this is my dad's very best friend and I had the honor of growing up with him most my life, I also seen all the hard work put into this sanctuary it was truly dales life and to see how hard he worked and that its all gone now well thats just heart wrenching.. such an awesome man to know him... he could even speak to alligators... crazy stuff

  • In Florida bird sanctuaries are rare, but seeing the birds and animals in their natural envirnment is amazing! I love animals. Consequently, I wanna get involved in envirnmental protection and save the wildlife;how can I help?

  • So sad they are gone. Lets hope Save Our Seabirds can take over. FWCAS Parrot Rescue has four quakers that used to be displayed there.

  • Too bad they had to close down their doors.

  • Best One I have ever seen,,,,,,,,,,if I lived there I would volunteer

  • DONT BE AFRAID FOLKS! FEEL WELCOME TO DONATE! IT's a LOT of work!
