  • I understand the importance of twisting or braiding up every night, but what does one do right after the big chop when your hair is too short and twisting requires an insane investment in time?

  • Tip #1: Be fine as hell, just drop dead gorgeous, like the girl in the video. That way, it won't matter what you do to your hair.

  • Awwwwwwwww...she still cares what she looks like in front of her fiance at night! LoL. After years of marriage...sweetie...my husband can grab that Denman brush and come help out with all these darn tangles for all I care! Hehe. It's all love. Wonderful, wonderful video.

  • I need help! I've been natural for 4 years. I went to get my hair flat ironed twice and my hair texture changed! I now have straighter hair at the ends and about an inch of hair at the roots that is my original texture. I wonder if I should cut it off and start all over or try to save it? The straighter hair is breaking off from the new growth.

  • Thank you so much for this. When I first did the Big Chop I was so lost. I was never given any tips. But I survived and I love my journey!!

  • @313angie1 All you gotta do is just give the bottle a shake before you spray. That way the water and oil will emulsify a little. :)

  • peace love & happiness 2 you thxs i did my big chop 3weeks ago.. i have a not so bad TWA with my natural curls i cant really twist my bad mainly my front any tips.. thxs

  • Quick question..... Oil and water do not mix, so is there anything else that you are putting in your water bottle?

  • @cdineb when I big chopped my personal routine I did as I do now but without the braiding and twisting consisted of washing my hair weekly conditioning and moisturizing and sealing with an oil and cover my hair with a satin or silk bonnet. In the morning I would spritz with water and apply moisturizer or oil as needed. It is essential to keep your hair with a satin or preferably silk scarf or pillow case. Hope this helps good luck!

PS: Co-washes also helps with maintaining curl pattern
