The I Love Dippy appeal

Our much-loved and iconic Diplodocus, affectionately known as Dippy, is a memorable welcome to visitors as they enter the Central Hall.

This magnificent hall is at the heart of the Museum and begins a journey of natural discovery for nearly 5 million people each year.

We would like to breathe new life into this space and showcase more star specimens.

We require £8.5 million to complete the renovations to the Central Hall and we need your help to reach this target.

@wp6265 (Also posted in response to your message on the other films): If you would like to see what is planned for Central Hall, please follow the I Love Dippy appeal link in the film description. One of the key aspects of the plans for the renovation is to expose more of the original architecture of the Central Hall than is currently on view.

Beware 're-development' in the main building....great treasures should be treasured and the central hall is a tresure indeed.
