I just attached the swivel directly to the flag.

My first poi were actually marshmallows in socks tied to mardigrass beads. I hit myself so many times a friend let me borrow his lacrosse helmet. It takes practice but like shichan said its totally worth the hours! Once you get that move it just clicks and then you can light it on fire! lol! I learned off of youtube no one really helped me with anything so it can be done on your own. Good luck with it!

awesome stuff, would the work as well if i made the 'flowy' bit shorter? or does it need the drag of the air to work?

'cuz i think if theyre a little smaller you could do more tech style with them ^^

you can make them however you want. I don't think flag poi are very good for tech style anyway. Just for grabbing peoples attention mostly.

It's just a silver key ring. Very easy to find just make sure you can fit a couple of fingers in it.

If you really don't wish to make your own flag poi you can purchase them from some marching band and auxiliary supply sites. They're just called chain flags...there you can buy pre-made flags and the chains...a site that I know sells the chains and multiple flag styles is bandshoppe*com Obviously replace the * with a .

But yeah...this video looked really good.

@blueicechi and it's harder than it looks =~=. it's all practice and it's actually pretty exhilarating. the moment you figure something out it's just this awesome sense of awesome that floods over you. you should try it out. start with something light and soft, like sock poi with tennis balls, then from there you can branch off into glowstringing, flag poi, fire poi, etc. there are small variations between each, but it's kind of like driving different cars. just a bit to practice to get used to.
