Documentary filmmaker Joe Gantz interviews Troy Davis' sister (Martina Correia) and nephew (De'Jaun Correia) about Troy's wrongful conviction, their efforts to free him, and the devastating emotional toll his imprisonment has taken on their family. This interview was shot at Amnesty International's Annual General Meeting in March 2011. Six months later, Troy's execution date is now set for September 21, 2011.

  • Troy's in a better place now. He had faith and his faith saved him. He was a Godly man and everyone knows that. The American justice system murdered Troy because he was a black man.

  • Everyday, my heart breaks a little bit more for this family.

  • RIP

    Troy and Martina

you lived and died as our Messiah did

Christ lives through you and in us

  • i hate to say this because Billy Joel wrote it in the spirit of a corrupt New York thug culture, but it is sadly true:

    only the good die young

  • RIP Martina. The most inspiring person I have ever met.

  • Martina has died. Pray for this family and especially her son who has lost his uncle and now his mother.

    RIP Martina...

  • @retrospect1983 I think this should be automatic, because it's actually an attempt for murder.

  • @Ondrus21 thank you for feedback. its so refreshing to know someone else is able to see the flipside to the coin..

  • @retrospect1983 Yes, perjury in capital cases should also be punished by death. I like this in California's law system.

  • @Ondrus21 if those involved in the conviction of this victim are found to have lied, should they also get capital punishment?
