People are going 'potty' for a particular sort of garden ornament for sale on Barnsley Market.
Denise and Alwin Mann, of Ward Green, have used plastic plant pots twined together to create their family of unusual models of people and animals. It started when they wanted to make one model for a friend of the family.
Not knowing how many pots they would need, they ordered in bulk from Germany. "We ended up with 5,000 of one size, and 4,000 of another, to try and use up," said Denise, 64.
"So then the imagination kicks in." The range includes Viking soldiers, pirates, rebels on quad bikes, and dogs. Some of them are even remote controlled and can roam around the garden. They also try to cater for people's requests.
Denise said: "If anyone suggests anything they particularly want making, I don't sleep for three nights, trying to work out how to do it."
