Simon Rattle conducts the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra

Sir Simon Rattle took time out of his hectic tour schedule with the Berlin Philharmonic to work with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra in rehearsal of Elgar's Enigma Variations. Here's a short clip of that working rehearsal.

I just saw Simon Rattle conduct the Venezuela Childrens Orchestra, on YouTube, 380 kids under 15 years old. They did the entire Mahler's Symphony 1, Titan! They had kids as young as seven years of age playing the violin. Its mislabled, so it is difficult to find, but cut and paste, "Rattle infantil" and you'll find it. Just amazing.
