  • Voyage to the bottom of the sea

  • He started in late '64...and for a few years was on Friday nights~

  • R.I.P. jack Bublon and give Igor a bop for me!

  • does anyone know if this is the show where he would say.."And remember, pets are friends" ???????

  • Jack DuBlon was one of the best parts of my childhood and, therefore, my life. All hail the great Jack DuBlon!

  • @TrunkOfKnowledge With some sound effects added, like the wolf howl. And it's some kind of arrangement for TV, not a full orchestral recording.

  • Just for the record, there was a guy named Dick "Nightlinger" Golembiewski who ran a website called "MIlwaukee Horror Hosts". He wanted to know what music Dr Cadaverino's show came from. Unfortunately Dick died before he found out, but I just connected it up.

The Dr.'s theme is part of Gustav Holst's "The Planets" suite. I don't know exactly which part, but I heard it in the middle somewhere. It makes sense, since it was probably a public domain recording.

    So now you know.

  • DR. CADAVERINO WAS PART OF MY CHILDHOOD. I ALWAYS REMEMBER TRYING TO STAY UP LATE TO WATCH IT AFTER SHOCK THEATRE WAS OVER. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T MAKE TV LIKE THAT ANYMORE! I ALSO REMEMBER THE HAUNTED HOUSE KITS YOU COULD ORDER THROUGH THE SHOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN HOME A HAUNTED HOUSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. GOOD OL' DAYS!

  • @danielledublon I was so excited to see your email, Danielle! I really loved your Granddad, and he always treated me and my family like royalty. He was an integral part of my growing up in Wisconsin. I will never forget him. You can keep track of me on my Facebook page, and there are links there to my artwork too. Perhaps someday you could send me some scans of my old stuff! Write me anytime... :) -Tracy Lesch (Baron Von Finkenstein)

  • @Kato599 Ah, so you are the one who did the artwork that I have seen! I have wondered for many years who did the stuff that I have had for so long. I have admired it so! I have many copies (somewhere) LOL. Jack DuBlon was my grandfather. I suppose it could be another person that did the artwork, but it looks like the same artist. Wonderful work, when I was a teenager I tried to copy the same style.
