@turner2123 Napoleon realised that it would be impossible to invade Great Britain BEFORE trafalgar, when his fleet had failed to keep away Nelson from Europe. Then he attacked Austria and Prussia but wanted to ally with Russia after he has defeated the Tsar. The new fleet he was building and the russian one would have been able to invade England, but the blocus was too hard to bear for Russia wich broke the alliance in 1812

@Puzzoozoo, Napoleon did have a secret police, but it's nothing like the Gestapo and the NKVD. They were mostly used for spying and they rarely kill anyone. Plus, Josephe Fouche didn't kill anybody during the reign of the French empire. He thwarted every royalist attempt to kill Napoleon.
