Kawasaki KZ1300 Turbo

The bike has JE pistons and parts from Mr Turbo such as Mikuni Flatslide HSR 42 with a float bowl spacer kit to get enough fuel.

Richard made an own exhaust for his bike with Mr Turbo u-bends and stock exhaust parts.
The bike has plenty of power with just 6 lb. of boost.
The Wide Band Commander is for analyzing the air-fuel ratio.

im not very familiar with older bikes, but are these basically the sport bikes before they had fairings? one day i would love to get an old bike like this =) or at least a naked sports bike

I had one of these in 1980, it needed better brakes and tyres, to help keep it on the road. But it did draw a crowd, I wheelied it up main street more than once. Went back to Suzuki GS after that, and have stayed a GS fan ever since - except for the electrical system. I found a way to make them electrically reliable, and today, (2012) I still have a GS850G, and a GS1150. along with some more modern machines.
