TTC Orion NG HEV Double Bus???

I wonder what it would be like to see a double bus version of an Orion VII NG...This video will show my prediction of what it would look like if Orion Industries plans to build them.

i think the TTC used to have them, but then got rid of them.

I'm pritty sure that VIVA uses them. I might be wrong though.

The ones TTC use to have were called Orion III's. The ones in this video are Orion VII Next Generation bus

These buses DO exist. Mississauga Transit has plenty of them, usually running on routes 1, 19, and 26.

No they don't, in Mississauga those are called New Flyer D60LFR's.

If they really make an articulated version of the Orion VII NG HEV, I hope that they will be more rust-resistant than the Orion III! ;)

Orion may use the (VII) Next Generation model, but an (VIII) model that may be introduce in 2013 or so as the demand for more Orion buses grow larger.

ttc should look in to these maybe a idea they should , i dont think it wouldnt hurt to see if they could get a few . use only on rush hour .

They are articulated buses or Artics and Orion doesnt make Artics, if you want a low floor artic ride a New Flyer D60LF or a Nova Bus LFSA but i dont think TTC has those yet

TTC USED to run 'double buses' but eventually chucked them :/ Mississauga transit has similar buses, as well as Viva/YRT if i'm not mistaking

Reason rust was found every where was because Orion fraudently did not built to the specifications the ttc wanted. The metal was much thinner. Was not made of stainless steel. Hinge built out of very thin tubular steel that was not strong enough for heavy longgevity, big steep hills. 29 dufferin route has many hills. Toronto cold weather city with lots of snow, sleet, road silt.
