  • There aren't laws against throwing TVs out of windows, and we made sure no one could get hurt. Sorry. You're wrong even without your horrible spelling mistakes.

  • Was that a working TV or a broken one?...

  • Broken... Wouldn't have thrown it if it was working or repairable.

  • demaoza: TVs contain hazardous materials: large quantities of lead, phosphorous, cadmium, barium, and mercury.

Smashing of the TV caused the hazardous materials to be released into the surrounding area. These toxins will easily be absorbed through your lungs, mouth, eyes and skin.

If someone improperly cleaned the mess up without protective gear, gloves, and a mask, then they will likely develop respiratory, pneumonitis, and neuropsychiatric problems as they get older.

  • Thank you for the valuable information. I could not use enough words to express how meaningfull this comment was to me. I appreciate the fact you took the time and posted it here. I'll never forget it. Thank you so much.

  • Junking your old TV isn't illegal. Besides these TVs are outdated, don't work without cable and most have been replaced by eco-friendly LCD TVs which don't need a cable signal to receive off-the-air channels. Trust us, most of the old electronics we dispose of wind up in the landfill whether on not You destroy them on Your own.
