How I got started and what keeps me motivated.

-I cut it out of the video, but just to give her the appropriate credit, my mother got me interested in running by taking me out for jogs when I was about 7.

What's your story?

  • my story is I come from a cheerleader family which i did too then my freshmen year i was new at this private school, and i didnt know many people. but then i got asked to join track as a sprinter because one of the coach's saw me running in PE playing flag football. So i did the 100m and 200m. After track my freshmen year I decided to do cross country. Right now, i am doing morning practices at my school at 6am. I live in Vegas, so its gets up too 117 sometimes. Thats why we practice so early.

  • @mrtggg95 Las Vegas, eh? That must be interesting.

  • Yo cicirunner did you see the video response I made to this? I didnt know how to make it a response so i just posted it with the link in the description Btw. Also whats the song at the beggining?

  • @BruinsOfBoston I just came across this comment. The song is called Burn this City by Lil Wayne. It's really easy to make a video response. If you click into the box where you would normally make a comment, a blue option under the box shows up that says, "Create a video response." I tried looking on your channel but I didn't see it.

  • I came from a fat family but i was fat until my 8th grade year , I decided I wanted to do Track , I started off running the 400 meters my time isn't that good i ranged from 1:05 - 1:10 depending on my mood , but i decided , but I decided I wanted to be a distance runner when I did the 1600 in pratice , I was pretty weak but I just loved the feeling , I'm currently 13 of age , Im going to be a freshmen next year and Imma do crosscountry and my goal is to win a medal.

  • Good luck achieving your goal. In my area, usually ribbons were handed out during cross country instead of medals although I did manage to snag a few in track.

  • As funny as it sounds, the beep test got me really into running.

  • My family has a running line. It usually skips around the family tree, but can be traced up to my great uncle, Ray Andrews. He ran track at the University of Orgeon under the coaching of the running genius Bill Bowerman. Ray ran the 400 yard in 46s, and rightfully earned the nickname, Racing Ray. I hope I can live up to such a reputation in XC.
